with valid U.S. passports could get a visitor visa for 30 days or fewer at the at
the port of entry for no fee. For stays longer than 30 days, all travelers must
obtain a visa before arrival in the UAE. In addition, a full medical exam is required
for work or residence permits and includes an HIV/AIDS test. Testing must be performed

and deported for testing positive for HIV or hepatitis. Please verify this information
and obtain more details from the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates before you

who are working or living in the UAE should visit the Emirates Identity Authority website for more information on
card registration procedures and requirements.
U.S. citizens and citizens of other countries that are not members of the Gulf Cooperation
Council (GCC) who depart the UAE via land are required to pay a departure fee. This
fee is 20 UAE dirhams and is payable only in the local currency.

Entry / Exit Requirements for Saudi Arabia from U.S. Department of State
Everone is required to have a valid passport for at least six months and a visa
are required for entry. Visas are issued for business and work, to visit close relatives,
and for transit and religious visits by Muslims. Visas for tourism are issued only
for approved tour groups following organized itineraries. Airport and seaport visas
are not available. All visas require a sponsor, can take several months to process,
and must be obtained prior to arrival. Effective May 2008, the Saudi Ministry of
Foreign Affairs agreed to issue 5-year multiple-entry visas to American visitors
and students. All Saudi Embassies have the authority to issue the 5-year visas,
but only the Saudi Embassy in Washington, D.C. appears to be doing so at this time.
In the past, American citizens have reported being refused a Saudi visa because
their passports reflected travel to Israel or indicated that they were born in Israel,
although this has not happened recently. Women visitors and residents are required
to be met by their sponsor upon arrival. Women who are traveling alone and are not
met by sponsors have experienced delays before being allowed to enter the country
or to continue on other flights.

Entry / Exit Requirements for Jordan from U.S. Department of State
Everone is required to have a valid passport and a visa. Jordan issues visas to U.S. citizens for a fee at most international ports of entry and at most international land border crossings upon arrival. The visa currently costs 10 Jordanian dinars ($14 USD) for a single entry and 20 JD ($28 USD) for a multiple entry. However, visas are not issued upon arrival at the King Hussein Bridge land border crossing, which is also known as the Allenby Bridge. U.S. citizens must already be in possession of a valid visa to Jordan or have a special entry permit from the Jordanian Ministry of Interior to enter Jordan at this crossing.
For further information travelers may contact the Embassy of the Hashemite
